So I've finally done it and opened my Etsy shop. It's quite daunting to be honest, as you never know how something that you’ve put so much effort in to, will be received.
Anyway, I've spent the past year or so thinking that I'd like to start my own venture in crafts. It began when I wanted to buy a fairy and elf door for my soon but all the products I found seemed to target either one or the other. I didn't want to buy two different doors and I wanted him to have an elf and a fairy (to add some magic to various occasions and life events), so I decided to design my own door for him.
I thought I could make a candy cane and wand to hang on the door depending on whether my son wanted his elf or his fairy to visit. I made these out of polymer clay- a medium I just love to work with.
From there, the PeachyBoo Magic Doors were born! I've since developed personalised sign posts, added custom door numbers and bunting and gradually added different door colours.
I've slowly been releasing these colours on my Etsy shop which you can find here https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/PeachyBooCrafts. Whether or not something comes of my business idea, I'm just excited to see where I end up. At the very least, I'm working on products that I love to make (as well as some polymer clay characters on the way!).
